Breathe Festival in Itacaré, Brazil
I'm sitting at the airport in Salvador right now, waiting for my next flight to Lisbon.
I spent 9 days here in Brazil at the Breathe Festival in Itacaré, Bahia, and it was an amazing experience.....

As Swatch was a sponsor for this event, me and some other team riders could go down there to check it all out and paticipate.
We planted trees, visited schools, went bird watching, walked in the jungle and much more....
I could write pages and pages but I think the most important is what I've learned on that trip and I've learned quite a bit and it opened my eyes....
Itacaré is definitely not a moden city, no its a little village that tries to live out of tourism. People live in wooden houses, some in better ones, some in houses that don't look like houses to me....most of them walk every where cause they can't afford a car, the ones that can afford a bike or a horse are lucky.
They don't know what to do with their trash so they just throw everything in a whole, away from where people could see it.
All people I've met have been supper nice to me, trying to help when needed, and I do understand portugese now...;-) I was surprised they understood my spanish so well...;-)
It made me realize that you can be happy with nothing....when we visited that school those kids were just sooo happy to see us, we brought them food and cooked for them and I think they will remember that day for a while. Everyone wanted to play with my I-phone, and take pictures with our cameras ...it was amazing to see and I've learned that I'm supper lucky with where I grew up, with all the possiblities I was given to in my life and that most of the people in this world don't have what I have.....

Swatch Girls Pro, Hossegor, France
Some photos from the Swatch Girls Pro comp in Hossegor France. It turned out to be a supper nice day today....still too cold to go in the water for me, as I'm half sick but it was good to finally see the sun out...;-)
I watched the girls surf again today and they definitely make it look easy;-)

New interview online
Hi guys,
It's been a while.....;-) I've been supper busy and have been back in Europe for 10 days now but had to empty out my whole appartement in those days as I will be moving to Denver, Colorado;-)
I'm in Hossegor, France right now with Swatch for the Swatch Girls Pro. I've never seen a surf comp and it's cool to be here and be able to check it out. I will definitely post something about it very soon, but I had to just relax today cause I'm sick, have had too much stress lately;-)
Anyways.....got a new interview online if you wanna read it;-)

WSI Whistler....
I'm on my way back from Whistler, Canada right now and sitting at Seattle airport waiting for my connecting flight to Denver;-)

I flew up to Vancouver a couple of days ago for the last comp of this year, WSI 2010!
It was sunny during the two training days but then unfortunately for the comp day the weather wasn't that great no more....a lil bit of rain and cloudy but the event was great, they kept the pipe in an amazing shape and it was prolly one of the coolest and most layed back comps I have been to this season. I'm glad I finally got to compete in this comp, as for the last two years I was on crutches watching the comp....I made it this year and had a blast! I will definitely be back next year!;-)
Already in qualifying the girls were throwing down hard....some flairs, 900's and 720's.... it was a good show to watch.
In finals everyone was skiing well again, we even saw some 1080 (Jen Hudak and Megan Gunning) and the girls were stepping it up once again! Fortunately my first run was good enough to end up in 3rd place! I finally got my podium this season but know I will have to work hard for next season if I wanna end up on some more podiums;-)

I'm heading to Denver now, still in hope that I will be able to get to Europe as soon as possible for the planed Dalbello shoot in Italy...if not we will have to change the dates of that shoot and push it back to June....;-)

New Look....
That's the great thing of being sponsored by a salon....I pretty much get to go to the hairdresser whenever I want....and today it was a last minute decision but I suddenly was over my blond hair...it's been too many years and yah I'm officially a brunette again....;-)
I love it and a big shout out to Lacey at Salon 29 in Denver....trust me, it was a process to get my hair from light blond back to brown....;-) Such good work girl;-)
